We can't afford anyone outside of the Norweigan 3rd tier apparently. But Blackpool and Luton can. Interesting.
Another player who was decent 10 years ago. Managed to get another professional contract , good on him.
Not a deal I would be interested in us making but I do have to question how Luton seem to fund these deals. If not making a loss they must be very well run.
They seem to pick up a fair few on free transfers. What we often pay (not always though) on transfer fees, they can stack on top of wages instead.
Maybe so but I imagine still wants a championship sized wage otherwise he would have signed for someone lower down the pyramid already.
Championship sized wage is quite a large range. Andy Carroll was on 1k/week at Reading. I'd guess he's on a fair bit more at West Brom, but that initial contract got him back playing which is what Snodgrass will now be doing.
Liam Lawrence kind of signing. Trying to squeeze a last drop out of someone who’s best days are long behind him.
2 goals in 27 games over the past two years. Barely plays and rarely scores. 34 years old and bad attitude so Val froze him out at WBA. I wouldn't want us signing him and that's saying something after the season we've had.
Not one that interested me at all. Had a shocker for WBA in this same division with better players around him.
I am quite pleased with the signings of Quinna & Bassi , not sure why when another club signs a player there is an instant response that we should have been him for him as well, I simply don"t get it, there is usually a good reason why a player has not got a club by the last week of february & it is not because he is a world beater .
Or Luton were the only side in the championship willing to offer him a contract. He's a good 5 years past his best.
Yeah I wouldn't take him over either of our lads. Bassi and Quinna have really bought in to our club. It's a shame we've not had them all season. I love that they celebrate goals as if they are local lads. You can see how much it means to them to be here. The other night it was our three loan guys (Gomes the other) that were first to celebrate with Morris his goal.
