Is he really any better than McGeehan, or is it just that he is from Austria ??

I would have liked to have seen Ludwig start yesterday over Jordan Williams who had a mare and needs resting IMO!

But again, Ludwig, the new centre half and Ritzmaier, are they any better than what we already have?

It’s clear that the board won’t go out and spend some proper money on some proper quality championship players!! What a depressing week this has been!

Each transfer window they have been involved in has been a joke, they need to get serious and stop dicking around!! Lose on Saturday and it’s game over for this season!!

Too early to tell. The Jan transfer window is a good time to get players up to speed for next season, not get us out of a hole now.

Ritzmaier has played some great cross-field balls but doesn’t seem to get anywhere involved enough to justify his place. I think he needs to bed in for a few weeks/months - which is time we don’t have.

The slightly even worse left-footed version of Bahre.

So far he's no better than McGeehan. Probably worse as he goes missing where as McGeehan didn't. I'm not a big fan of McGeehan but this diamond system would probably suit him better than any other we've played while he's been with us.

Ritzmaier may turn out to be a better player in the long run, or he may not, it's too early to tell. Right now he isn't, yet he's first on the team sheet where as McGeehan was frozen out of the match day squad then shipped out on loan.

I think the issue is how strong is the Austrian bundesliga and from what I've seen it's just not comparable with the English top 2 divisions. We are signing these guys because they are relatively cheap and available. The squad is so much weaker than last year's it's frightening.
