Cack today. Can someone try and convince Struber that Dougall is Austrian rather then Australian to see if he can get a game?
Struber can’t wait to get his mates on the pitch when they are subs but seems reluctant to sub them when they start games. Funny that .
Think Ludewig is a decent little player myself. Can’t see anything in Ritzmaier at all to date. No strength, no fifth, no pace and definitely no right foot....that’s for sure!
I said before the game that I don’t think Dougall has had a fair crack this season. I’d bring him back in and push Mowatt up a bit.
Thought Ludewig was ok to be honest. As competent as J Williams has ever been this season. Ritzmaier must have secrets on Struber. He’s playing where Mowatt should be, but he’s nowhere near as good and, if it was even possible, he’s even more left foot reliant than Mowatt.
He was shocking early in the second half when he ran towards a 50/50 ball down by the east stand and totally **** out of making a challenge. He should have been subbed off straight away if he's not got the bottle and mental strength to get stuck in and not worry about getting hurt.
Honestly dont know how he didnt get subbed I was thinking he needs to come off long before brown got took off. He offers nothing at all. I thought ludwig was good 1st half and poor 2nd.
How Ritzmaier even gets on Schindlers list, sorry Strubers team sheet every week is beyond me. As outlined in a different thread earlier Mowatt sounded really depressed when interviewed on Radio Sheffield tonight. On the cover of "Be Red" for the Middlesbrough game, he was quoted as saying, " if we win today, it gives us a real chance of kicking on again." On the front of today's programme Brad Collins says " if we can turn Fulham over like that, on their own patch, why can't we stay up.?" That's precisely what the fans are asking Brad. What possessed them to switch from playing the ball around on the deck in the first half, to lumping it forward to our two large dwarves up front, knowing full well they were up against defenders who could have got bit parts in the Land of the Giants.?
I genuinely think that even though I'm in my fifties, substantially overweight and with two creaky knees, I could give Ritzmaier ten yards start and still beat him over thirty - put a ball at the end of it and that'd make my job even easier as he'd chicken out of the upcoming tackle. I could only keep thinking that he's some Aryan re-incarnation of Brek Shea but without the attitude - in fact without anything. Truly one of the worst players I can remember us having. Today he was worse than Robbie Williams in that game when Simon Davey put him in left centre midfield against Wednesday. Struber massively at fault for not taking him off at 0-0. Simoes started warming up to come on for him after 50 mins and was stripped and ready at 54 but Struber changed his mind for some unknown reason. I'm still trying to fathom how, after we'd won three on the bounce, Ritzmaier got anywhere near the starting XI last week and on experiencing his performance at Reading I cannot believe he was selected again today. I'm no fan of Bahre but Ritzmaier makes him look like a world-beater in comparison. Thought Ludewig was okay in the first half and at least has something to work with but clearly took the same tranquilisers at half-time as the rest of them.
Ludewig was OK for me, but our midfield trio were all crap (Mowatt, Thomas and Ritzmaier) and that's where I think we lost it plus a keeper that couldn't keep hold of the ball
Striker Woodrow asked to play midfield Wide player Thomas asked to play narrow Attacking 0layer mowatt asked to sit back and defend Ritzmaier asked to play football On a hiding to nowt
To me Ritzmaier and B Williams were as weak as water on the left hand side today. Ludwig didn't have his best game but I thought did ok The young lads of BFC were bullied and out muscled by Cardiff City and lacked bottle to stand up to a physical side. I think we are going down and felt so after the Birmingham match. We are unable to break down sides who let us come on to them and then hit us on the break .
