On the day that restrictions eased a few weeks ago someone on here was adamant that drop all restrictions and numbers would fall and was even prepared to stake a bet !
Now I never took the bet but surely whilst we never had the massive surge a few week after the numbers are relatively high, deaths averaging above 100 per day and cases up and down around 30000.
So was it a proper Windass or are/were they just a typical denier that will still argue the numbers are going down?

Just wait until schools go back- we’ll be back over 60k a day within 2 weeks. Never fallen as low as it did last summer and we saw a rise again in September, as the government have done fk all about ventilation in schools and vaccination for kids it’s just going to be another crappy autumn and winter with thousands of youngster exposed to the dangers of long covid.
Is Johnson now worse then Thatcher? I would say yes.

Johnson is way worse than Thatcher. Not even on the same pitch. Also way worse than May was. I hope to never see as bad a PM in the rest of my lifetime.

The really sad thing is that if there was an election tomorrow he’d get back in.
That’s how daft the people of this country really are….

3 million young haven't had a vaccine, which Is their choice. Of course covid would still be circulating but just not as much.

What matters most is hospitalisations and deaths. I can quote the figures for the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Trust region, currently there are 14 people in hospital, 8 considered serious...4 deaths have occurred since June 27th.

What matters most *now* is hospitalizations and deaths. We don't know (and won't for years) if there is any long-term health implications from being infected. There might not be, but there is also a risk that some of those infected now (mainly our kids at the moment) will have issues later in life as a result of contracting Covid as children or young adults.

I can't disagree with your point, it will take some time before all the long term implications become known.
