Been on the decline in recent years - read somewhere Virgin are introducing football supporter carriages on their trains due to the increasing number of anti social incidents

It could be worse, but the perpetrators here are still scumbags all the same and should be dealt with appropriately if identified.

So Police were present on the Railway concourse, mmm. Not sure what the club can do about this other than condemn it. But then that would be acting on 1 person’s version. Wish folk would just enjoy their day without this kind of behaviour. Unfortunately, this type of behaviour isn’t exclusive to ‘ football fans’ Public transport all over the place and their terminals/stations witness this type of behaviour on a daily basis.

Shocking behaviour that nobody should have to put up with. I aren't sure what our club can do though.

Suppose they can look into who they sold Walsall tickets to on the train stops mentioned. Maybe they heard people referred to by name to make them easier to track down or gave good descriptions of all those involved.

But even if our club know who to approach from all the information given I don't know what they can do.

Barring having video evidence. ( which I think achieved some success in the Chelsea case ) nowt can be done.

Do they have cameras on trains?

Can't see how BFC could do anything about fans making their own way to and from the game unless the police have identified and dealt with them first.

Appalling behaviour, if true though. Hope they get dealt with.

I travel regularly on the train to games with friends and we have a drink or two and enjoy ourselves but I have been on trains with other football fans displaying the kind of behaviour the original post refers to.... It's embarrassing and is part of the reason football fans are treat the way they are up and down the country....

Generally it's a jovial atmosphere on the trains going to games it's mainly on the way home that this kind of behaviour occurs and it's not on and shows a total lack of respect and ignorance towards other commuters.

These people are repeat offenders as well a lot of the time.

Because they were chanting Barnsley FC songs it’s gonna give the club a bad name unfortunately.
But these people’s behaviour is not because they (support )BFC it’s as they are as people imo .
Other clubs have these sort of followers and are judged on their behaviour at times .
Millwall as we know had the worst reputation but the club doesn’t help itself in sorting out or even admitting and condemning most of the time .
If the club didn’t exist or were banned these sorts would attach themselves to anothet club or find another way to enact their stupidity .
Other than ban away fans travelling I don’t know how they would combat it tbh . Unless there is proper scrutiny and accountability of tickets that can be fully tracked (which is almost impossible ) I don’t know what the answer is tbh.
I’ve known fans go to away games ticketless either to try and get one there or for the day or weekend out,
Most of them were sound and went for the craic but there were a few who made absolute cnuts of themsrlves.

It sounds to me as if it's just boorish football fans meet shoppers. It would need more than one maybe over-sensitive eye witness to convince me otherwise. I've got the train home on many occasions when we've played the dee-dars and it's been rammed. The open-mouthed looks on the faces of shoppers at Meadowhall have been priceless when our fans have started singing "You're not getting on".
