    You would think after Blatter et al, that they would clean it up themselves, but they waited for the fuss to blow over and then carried on as before.

    The reason governments can't step in and try to clean them up, is that FIFA threatens to ban teams, including national teams, from countries who meddle, allegedly.

    Exactly. We all know why the World Cup went to Russia and Qatar. Not even a good attempt to disguise the fact. Same things happening all the way through.
