Controversial maybe but I don’t really blame him for giving the penalty. It’s a joke, it’s off his leg before it got to his arm, but if at full speed with one look all he saw was the ball hitting an outstretched arm, even though at that distance I still think it’s a joke to give penalties, that is the current expectation so he’s following instruction. He wasn’t great otherwise either - but again, he showed a little bit of understanding of some of the rules on the odd occasion so I can’t give him 1 or 2. I won’t give him more than 3 though.
Would have been zero in the aftermath of the match. Having thought about it decided to give him a 1. Probably generous I know but the sun is shining and I’m in a good mood.
He should have stuck to throwing darts with multi-coloured hair. 0 - a masterclass in incompetence and inconsistency.
I've given him 1 for finding his way there it must have been a struggle for him and the other for his shiney black boots.
As I would reserve 0 for Willard or Kettle levels of incompetence and bias and 0.5 points aren’t an option have to resort to 1 point. Haven’t time to list all the things he got wrong.
I’ve not given a zero yet this season. As bad as most of them are I realise that once you give a zero you’ve nowhere else to go! However this pillock broke the mould, even by League One standards. He gets a zero, and that’s only because there isn’t a minus option!
I didn't see the match so can't really give a mark, but he must have been very, very bad to have so comprehensively outdone the clown who reffed the Blackpool game. Having said that, if the penalty is representative of his overall display, then 1 is probably about right. Following on from what another poster said, I agree with making this a public vote, to prevent people giving a clearly idiotic 10 (or an idiotic zero when the ref has clearly had a decent game).
