The Royals have been served the petition over unpaid taxes.

It is the second time in four months Reading have been threatened with liquidation due to unresolved debts.

In total, it is the fifth winding-up petition the club have received.

The FIFTH time. Isn't it time HMRC said enough is enough. What is the FL doing about it?

The authorities (EFL) seem scared to death to act against certain clubs. They gave Derby, Wigan, Bolton etc several chances before finally acting. The only time they acted with any real authority was kicking poor Bury up the jacksi over an upaid debt roughly equivalent to a days wage for a Premier League player.

If only there was some other easy-touch club currently under some sort of investigation that they could make an example of to serve as a warning to the Wednesdays ond Readings of the world?

Careful what you wish for, eh?

If Reading get a new owner, run correctly they should be OK. Absolutely no hope of that with the current one.
