Like most my heart is going out to the people of the Ukraine and what they are going through and for what its worth I think Putin is wrong with what he's doing. Tonight I've just put sky news on and they are discussing the latest bomb attack outside a children's hospital saying the crater it's left is huge...images showed a burnt out building followed by, internal shots of the hospital equipment with a fair amount of rubble all over them Outside shots showed twigs and small branches strewn across loads of debris... A soldier who kept looking into the camera whilst dressing what the reporter claimed was a head wound yet the person sat there having their head wound dressed was clean and showed no sign of any trauma... In my opinion that appeared staged for the cameras Going back to the outside scene...All the trees in the images and on the video reel they showed were still standing apart from one and they all appeared right for the time of year ie leaf less ...now having seen destruction previously from explosions in such a close space and the damage it causes... can anyone one explain to me how these trees have obviously avoided the blast and survived unscathed when such a large bomb has done so much damage to the building behind them ..im confused how this can be.... the scene its self looked to me more of a demolition site than a bomb attack..... Are the media once again helping to accelerate the feeling of repulsion of everything Russian and once again trying to stir up feelings for a full hands on war.... The first casualty in any conflict is the truth
Yes and no. Are Ukranian and Western media outlets pushing some questionable information and dubious video for propaganda? Absolutely yes (see strong Ukranian girl standing up to Russians, which actually turned out to be a 2-3 year old video of a Palestinian girl giving it to the IDF, and the 'Ghost of Kyiv' aircraft hoax). But so are the Russians. Is Putin committing war crimes in Ukraine? Definitely yes. This is a war of information above all else. Personally I try not to trust any official source on any single given event, but it's also important that we don't let that feeling of "I can't trust what I'm seeing" to cloud what is becoming increasingly obvious: Russia is the aggressor and atrocities are indeed happening. What I would say is to try to engage your critical thinking when viewing a clip, see it objectively and think to yourself "is this clip extremely beneficial to one side?" If it is beneficial, is that because it feels like it shows an obvious truth and that evil has been committed, or does it feel almost convenient? Check the body language. Check who is posting the clip or writing the article. Research their political history if you feel like it. Find other sources to corroborate. I believe Russia just bombed a hospital, and that this is a war crime.
