They are unsurprisingly unhappy about their own performance but lots of credit for us too.

Not often you'll see a 4-0 game flatter the losing team but this has. Could have been double that

Credit to Barnsley and Moore in particular though, they were as good as any side we’ve seen at Spotland in a very long time.

    Oh and this one.

"Barnsley better than us player v player from 1 to 11.

Better than anything I saw last season against us. Some of their attacks were a joy to watch (the ones before it went 1-0)

We got a reet slapping, i took to watching their fat old man who kept waving to kids and grabbing his bits. He was funny."

    I like this one best

'Well...tonight was a real wake up call to the whole football club. From top to bottom, from the Chairman to the tea lady.

We were simply battered from start to finish, and to be honest, couldn't have grumbled if we'd lost by 7 or 8, such was the difference between two teams competing in the same division.

I was wondering if I'd ever seen such disparity between 2 teams before...I can only think of a couple of games last season that came remotely close...namely Wigan & Blackburn at home...but to be honest, tonight made those games look close.

So many individual errors that it's not worth going into too much detail, but surely, our delivery from dead balls must be a real concern to the Management? I lost count of the number of free kicks or corners given to us that led directly to a chance for Barnsley.

Is it the players who are not good enough, or the coaching that is falling short?

Having said all that, well played Barnsley. One of the most complete performances you could hope to see at this level."

"We were outplayed by a team who were far better than us, had better players than we did and they made it count.

No matter what formation, selection or tactics that Keith Hill employed tonight, we would have been soundly beaten.

Sometimes you just have to accept that there are much better teams out there than us. Anyone finishing above Barnsley this season, will be promoted. They were excellent."

Can't resist one more. Reading such stuff about my team from opposition fans is VERY enjoyable.

"I think if you fielded a Dale best XI from history when all were at their peak Barnsley would have still run through them. They looked like a ruthless unit - we looked like boys against men. Fair play to Barnsley. It will be an outstanding team that keeps them off the top at the end of the season. Wish we had Moore. Or even more for that matter."

    Wow.
    Long may it continue.

That’s both Bradford and Rochdale fans being very complimentary to us.

One Rochdale fan saying Barnsley is the best team he’s ever seen in the 1st Division.

It’s not easy to be complimentary to other clubs like that - so well done to those fans.
