    ..If ,and it is a huge IF (And not wishing to put the jinx on it) we were to be promoted and keep the current squad intact, IMHO there would be no middle ground.
    We would either fail spectacularly with PL teams , given the fact that they have better forwards who are more consistent ' finishers', exploiting our high press either bypassing the midfield or outpacing our defensive line.

    Or...
    Val has a plan B and our sheer work rate and fitness levels of our young squad (not to mention increasing experience and confidence levels) could overwhelm many of the prima donnas and teams in the PL who are not used to coping at that level for a full 90 minutes.
    I genuinely believe that, whist there are clearly some World class players in the PL , the huge wages and transfers fee differentials we see between the EFL and the PL are not replicated by the skill and application levels between the two, not to mention some of the journeyman managers that fill the established PL manager merry-go-round club.

    Yes, it could all end in tears, but I, for one, would be interested to see if a young team with an exciting committed manager with new ideas could shake up the established order.
