Our old mate Alan Nixon talking about the Premier League playing their games in Perth. Can't work the logic out with that one.
I wish one of the big name players would come out and say "Sod it, I aren't playing until I think it's safe and fair to all to do so" Hope springs eternal
Are there no suitable stadiums in Outer Mongolia ? Of all the suggestions to come out I think this one beats the lot for ridiculousness !
I saw an article the other day where Sergio Aguero said that some players are scared to return back, I guess that’s a subtle hint towards what you’re asking for. I can’t believe they’re even thinking about coming back just yet.
If they are refusing to play will they be taking their wages think there will be uproar if the clubs stop wages if a player refuses to play
It's actually Perth in Scotland that they are talking about. They are hoping to quell any fears from the players by tricking them into thinking that they are getting a nice break in the sunshine on the other side of the world. The plan is that the players will all sign up to it and turn up with their suitcases and passport only to be told to get on the coach for a journey North. By the time the penny drops it will be too late.
almost as daft as the Euro 2020/21 ! - Wales v Turkey to be played in Azerbaijan. Wales v Switzerland to be played in Azerbaijan.
There have been no cases of Coronovirus on Antarctica. Maybe they could play on an ice floe wearing sealskin boots with penguins as spectators.
Just shows how self-important football is. If it happens I hope no bugger watches it. I bet the top brass are licking their lips at the prospect of this - having an excuse to play abroad and thus take the first step towards normalising games being played overseas. Once they've got a foot in that door we'll have rounds of matches being played in the USA and Middle East before too long.
