We've gone from a team who enjoyed 60% possession to 30% (at home) in the space of a couple of weeks. What's going on?
Possession means very little when your passing it around your back 4. I remember the lee Johnson 9 game losing streak but we won the possession stat in probley all of those 9. In the struber games at the start of the season we were good on possession but couldnt score a goal never mind win a game.
Let the opposition play in front of you when they do turn it over get it forward as quick as possible.
We’re scoring goals. When we had loads of possession the end product was never there. Getting it forward quicker helps. Possession is probably the worst stat to base any game on. Chances a better indicator. Of how the game is going.
Took me a while to realise that mate. Sideways tippy tappy football doesn’t create chances. Under kieth Hill possession was the key but invariably ended up nowhere.
Very frustrating player. Has the odd moments of brilliance but doesn't consistently show enough IMO. Let's hope in the 2nd half he starts proving me wrong!
We’ve been poor tonight but who really cares about possession? Time and time again it’s been proven to mean naff all.
Yeah I get that, we often seem a bit hurried in possession. Not arsed about doing a Brentford though and passing it between their centre backs for half the game.
