Despite having a negative goal differance after a heavy defeat on the opening day,

I didn’t think they were 7-0 bad but good grief. Top of the league? Having a laugh!!

I had port Vale to finish in top 6 in my predictions. Still very early but they've assembled a very decent league one squad

They've done really well since we beat them on the opening day. They were the better team for the majority of the first half and were unlucky to be behind. The second half was one of those games where everything we hit went in the back of the net. It would have been easy for them to be demoralised by that result, but they've bounced back superbly.

They were the better team first half when we played them!

Just goes to show how a drubbing can be so important to both sides .. we’ve the best goal difference in the division and Vale have the worst in the top half teams.

We couldn't get the ball for the first twenty minutes as I remember. Scored with our first attack..

I watched that game the day after the game having read all the comments about them being all over us first half. They weren't.

If they're the barometer for us. All we have to do is keep our heads down.

Yep, they dominated possession first 20-25 minutes but did absolutely nothing to look like hurting us. This ‘played us off the park first half’ is totally exaggerated for me. If you don’t score when you’re dominating possession chances are you’ll pay for it. Second half was one way traffic and if it had been a boxing match it would’ve been stopped

    They weren't great first half.
It was us that was like rabbits in headlights, until we scored.

Fair play to em, for responding how they have. The scoreline against us was a freak. We took the lead against the run of play, then they conceded a poor OG at the worst possible time. 2nd half they just capitulated, and every shot on target flew in.

Strangest 7-0 "thrashing" I've ever seen. Not that I've seen many 7-0 games like...
