    Shudder.......
Anyone who decides the best thing to do with their Boxing Day is to go to the hell hole that is Burslem, deserves a medal, at least. Got to be the least attractive holiday fixture in a long time.
I vowed 9 years ago never to go back, most unpleasant ground I've ever been to, horrible menacing atmosphere and we lost in the last minute.
Well done and good luck to anyone who braves it.
    Shudder.......

Is that 9 yrs ago ? Jeez time really does fly.

Is that the game where they’d appointed Michael Brown ex Leeds player as Player manager ?
After the match ( and before ) there was trouble in Burslem centre and directly outside the ground. The police were clueless and tear gas affected a few kids with no provocation etc etc
    Worst experience ever

That's the one, they'd lost 6 on the bounce, we're good at ending runs like that. Yeah, copped the trouble outside, tried to seek refuge inside the ground and their stewards seemed to be purposefully the slowest in the world at body searches, just to add aggro to the situation.
    Orrible place.

Yeah, with you on that. I hardly ever go away these days but traditionally, before I stopped going as much, I tended to go to boxing day games. But this year is my first year that my grandson is a ST holder and there is no reasonable chance I could go without taking him and there is no way I am risking that. I remember that game well. Its a horrible place and I'm in no rush to return.

I went there when we lost 2-3. I think we were 2-0 down then came back into it. Only to let a winner in. Was gunna say late winner, I don't think it was though. I think we scored our goals whilst I was having a diarhoeah splash fart checking the horse racing results and they won it in 65 minute. The game then fizzled out like a wet fanny fart.

On way back to Macey's bus one of lads was running alongside banging side of bus ( mustache and Chris Waddle mullet looked like a young Peter Sarstedt).

    Memories eh.

Sorry if that story went on a bit. Yes it did. Yes it did
