New squad like the old squad
Walcott - Jagielca - Rooney ..........not good enough
Rooney especially has proved he has a heart as big as a pea when he puts on an England shirt
Lots of players that I think should be in there - Rashford - Lennon - Townsend - Barkley
That is to say players that can pick the ball up and run at defenders - that's something Engand did a year ago and why lots of people thought we would do well in Europe
Only for Woy to change tactics when he got there

Klip Klopp has this attacking style at Liverpool

lets not bo*llock them before they've played the first match eh, i think were putting a lot of pressure on fat sam already and he cant be blamed for what happened at the Euros.
i think rooney's attitude is mostly good when he plays for his country, even if the skill is often lacking compared to what he does for manure. in fact, most of the players seem to prefer their clubs these days compare to their country and i find that disgraceful.
we do have a player who picks the ball up and runs at defenders and thats raheem sterling. but he got torn apart by fans and the media this summer. was andros townsend injured, if he wasnt i cant understand why hodgson didnt put him in the squad.

Townsend was fit; he wasn't taken for reasons only known to Roy who did also decide to take players who has been injured most of the season. I really don't care about England anymore but I do think Sam is the right man for the job.

england let us down everytime i know that, so fans are entitled to tell them to eff off!
but its another new era allegedly under fat sam and im still interested to see how it goes. and were in the same group as the jocks so that will be interesting.
sam's brand of footy isnt pretty but its effective, and he got the best he could out of a poor sunderland team when they stayed up. i still dont forget though how he stole ricardo vaz te off us when he was at west ham.

Yes - it's a new era - but more or less same fooooking squad
I was expecting, like a lot more were, Big Sam to bring in a few players that would have suited his style of play
Instead we have gone for the same old same old
It's not looking good from day one
And Rooney being mentioned as the captain again - he shouldn't be anywhere near the squad on his track record at tournaments

Danny Wilson started his first season with pretty much the same squad as Viv Anderson had the season before.

Joe Hart shouldn't get near the England team again after his terrible attitude and performances in France, and as for Sterling, cleverer defenders have sussed him out.

Who would you put in the squad ahead of Hart?

And which English winger is playing better than Sterling?
