In amongst all the horrible scenes of the last week I think it's right we should recognise this. The Police force in this country take a lot of stick, some of it justified too. However the bravery of our men and women standing up to this ongoing onslaught is admirable beyond belief. Sometimes I'm not really in the mood to deal with things at my work. I can't imagine how it feels setting off out of your home, possibly kissing a partner and kids goodbye knowing you could facing this level of violence and abuse. I for one am very grateful for all they do and hope they all stay safe and return home to their loved ones in the condition they left.
They've done amazing for me. They're up against actual Nazis. And they're out there, protecting what right folk believe in. I'm in awe of them. Proper men and women. Brilliant.
