I’m used to the three playoff games being a bit of a spectacle with teams going all out to get promoted. I can’t remember two games as turgid as these for a while, hopefully the Championship game will make up for it. So glad we went up automagically
We now need to cheer Conor on tomorrow against Derby. I hope it's a good game worthy of being called a final. It would be really great to see our former skipper on Match of the Day on Saturday nights next season.
I truly think he's the type of player that has the game to suit the Premiership JC. I believe Villa are thinking of selling their Bodymoor Heath Training complex to a housing developer. If that happens and they are also promoted , they would have quite an amount of cash available to strengthen the squad. It would be quite interesting to see who they might bring in and in what positions. I certainly believe, they will hang on to Conor, even if they initially use him as an impact sub. As we know only too well, his ability in a dead ball situation is outstanding, to the point that he's always capable of picking out a colleague from a corner , or bending one in himself from a free kick. If it doesn't work out for him, there's no doubt, he would have Championship suitors with the money to meet his financial demands clamouring to sign him.
I’d have Conor over Grealish every time, Grealish is a luxury player Conor is much more a player to build around
