At the end of the game yesterday I was left asking how many of our players are of a class to perform in this league?
I see about five from the total squad who are not, although we can find eleven who are, it's just not enough and we aren't good enough or quick enough to play as this coach wants to play.
We need a midfielder with vision and a striker who is goal hungry and they don't come cheap, or we need a coach who can play effectively with the players we've got just like Val did last season.
I wonder how many of our championship class players will stay with us in Division 1?

I don’t think it’s fair to judge players based on our current setup tbh, players fitted into positions, woefully short in key positions, that make players jobs harder.
All courtesy of our idiotic recruitment policy and a clueless manager.
    Of course all IMHO

In all fairness, if we can get the two new lads to form an understanding with Morris we've got what you're asking for.

If we keep the same side we’ll be good in div 1. May need a new coach though.

Will have at least 4 first choices returning to their parent clubs. And doubt they'd want league 1 football. Arguably 4 of the best players at the club at the mo.
    Vita
    Gomes
    Quina
    Bassi
Bassi being the only one we may have a chance of signing.

I reckon you could have given the managers job to any manager in league 2, give them just one instruction "you've got to play 4-4-2" and with this squad of players they would have achieved more than 3 victories. A coach is supposed to make the team better than the sum of its parts. We've managed the opposite.

I think there’s an option to buy with Vita, although we’ve been stung by those words before so who knows. He would be a very good player at that level though I think.

Your other points, I agree. Bassi is another who I think would be an asset in league 1.

Depends if we can afford them at league one level. More than likely not I would imagine.

Bassi would probably be out of reach yeah. Vita I’m not so sure.

Why is asbaghi still here. He is total useless even states shooting is not important unless you know its going to be a goal. 80% of these so called worldies in premier league start off as doubtful, but you get a bit of luck, the wind is in the right direction or the keeper makes a **** up and you end up with a goal. BUT if you don't shoot you don't score, full stop

Goals aren't the goal for Poya, the goal is clean sheets. Defend, defend, defend. If we let the odd goal in then we strengthen in training to try our best to achieve the coveted clean sheet. We should also try at the other end of the pitch but it doesn't seem as important (see: every presser since he arrived). This fixation on clean sheets, a failure to keep them, and a lack of emphasis on trying to score goals, never mind actually scoring them, is what will ultimately send us down. I'm sure of one thing to minimise the long-term damage to our football club in the short term, and it's not personal: Poya needs to go.
