We've cut to other grounds at least 15 times so far. My 'favourite' of these was "Barnsley are on the attack but there's been a goal at the Proact Stadium so we'll go over to there" and then an immediate cut away.
I agonised this morning wondering whether to re-subscribe so I could get this afternoon's commentary. I decided not to. You've just confirmed that I made the right decision. Sat in my corner in Germany with 2 monitors and an array of live tables, text commentary, match stats and goal updates. It reads like we're doing OK so far.
I have no idea, I can't get into it at all with all the interruptions. It's like trying to watch a film but someone keeps playing trailers for other ones in the middle of it every few minutes.
Dreadful at the best of times, being featured game is even worse... Think I'll just wait til full time..
I mean it's been like this for a season and a half now. Doesnt seem to be changing anytime soon. Doesn't bother me to be honest. Whilst it's not completely interrupted, the fact is that they only cut away from the game when the ball is either out of play or in a safe area. Sent from my phone using my hands
But we pay for commentary on our team. If we went and put a paper bag over the commentators head every 10 mins for 2 mins they wouldnt be right happy. Same difference.
That's not true though, they literally did say "Barnsley are on the attack but there's been a goal at the Proact Stadium so we'll go over to there" and then came back to say Hammill's effort hadn't come to anything. In a match last season (the one where Stahlrost and many others quit) they said we'd won a corner and then immediately cut away!
Granted, but it is what it is. You know what you're paying for. The only time they cut away from the commentary is when we're the FM commentary which is at most, 5 times a season, for the other 40 or so games it's uninterrupted. But as I say, you know what you're paying for. Sent from my phone using my hands
The player package is generally very good and getting better. We just need to ditch radio deedar and get our commentary back in house...
They don't though. I've known them cut away when we're about to take a corner, or (as Jam Drop said earlier) when we're mounting an attack.
Likewise we knew what we were paying for at oakwell when we didn't get bottle tops, had to screens turned off and had a dangerous carpark with no lighting but it didn't stop people from saying it was unacceptable and forcing change.
Not saying I agree with it. All I'm saying is, you know what you're paying for. I listen to Radio Sheffield fairly regularly, the FM commentary has breaks in it every single time that there's more than 2 games on. Sent from my phone using my hands
Was just about to reply saying I've thought it's been really good today, when ironically we missed a goal due to them going around the grounds. Not impressed at all
I wouldn't be surprised if radio Sheffield are paying to do player commentary. **** me looks like we have a goal while the commentary was at another ground. Jeeez
