Developed a screen fault with my Galaxy S7 (Pink/Purple line appears vertically down the right hand side of the screen). Should add nothing I've done has caused this, hasn't been dropped for example. Question is, do people think I'm best off going through EE (I have full insurance) or Samsung? Any dealings with either? Just want it sorting as quickly and as smoothly as possible
You purchased the phone/contract from EE presumably so you should contact them and they will either send it for repair or just replace it. And if they get start then If it is within the first six months remember that legally the onus is on them to prove that you caused the fault as well, you don't have to prove that the phone is faulty, they have to prove that you caused the fault which they will clearly be unable to do.
Dealt with Samsung a few times and the service has been first rate to be fair - went to one of their stores which was part of carphone warehouse store - repair was done quckly andd I was offered another phone while I waited for mine to be fixed. Never got that service with 02 - in fact 02 told me to go to the samsung shop
