nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,omg!!
I think we should be optimistic and have a right good go next season Sheffield United is the blueprint Player for player we aren’t far off them - they have played positive attacking football from the off, they work hard for each other and take risks in possession with their centre backs bombing forward - Pinnock can do this.
Rotherham - yes Bolton - I hope they go out of business. They paid for players that for years kept them above Barnsley in the Premeir League etc etc - even last season. Barnsley has suffered at the hands of football clubs like Bolton that are of similar size but has had millions and millions spent on them so they can be above clubs like Barnsley and keep them down. It’s now FOOKING pay back time !!!
Chance we go straight through and out the roof. Two of the teams coming down are utter garbage and that is not normally a recipe for going straight back up. A good start is all thats needed
The key is keeping this bunch of players, with a couple of good additions, until January. Hopefully we will then have enough points on the board. The plan dictates that's as much as we can hope for player retention wise.
Having watched the pigs against Leeds who were trying for play offs supposedly theres nothing to fear We re a championship club end of. But would be good to get to the Premiership again.
Imagine being the pigs, Blades gone up, Leeds could go up, Rotherham are down so your only local derby is us. We're not a rival though - apparently so they're probably looking forward to Huddersfield...
Experience suggests ‘The Plan’ needs some revision. All makes for interesting and hopefully an exciting close season
It definitely needs some tweaking, firstly by not letting contracts enter their final year but the club have already said they won't be letting that happen again. With that in mind, we surely won't ever see a mass exodus in January again. I would guess that we'll start paying something closer to average Championship wages for players. Nothing ridiculous and we'll still be at the lower end, but otherwise we're never going to be able to consolidate. I also wouldn't be surprised if we break our transfer record by quite some way this summer. If Pinnock leaves I reckon we'll probably shell out at least a couple of million to replace him. Likewise, I think it's likely that we'll sign a striker for 3-4 million, which will be big money for us. Still peanuts compared with what the big boys and cheats will be paying for some players.
