    He's one of are own and he's been very loyal to the club do you think he'll be here in 2 years if we get 15th and upwards in the table in the future?

    He'll be here as long as we're competing in the bottom half of the championship, possibly even if we're relegated.

    If we're competing for the playoffs there's bound to be interest, but I think it would have to be a premier league club to lure him away.

    This is the guy who nearly didn't take the managers job because he considered whether 18months as a manager was better than 20 years as backroom staff.

    He has young kids and a mortgage and like you say is from Barnsley - and unlike some managers understands both the way of the football world and his own limitations.

    No one will turn down a package where 12 months in the premier league pays more than 20 years as Barnsley manager.

    But if some dubious fickle investor like we seen at Hull / Cardiff / Blackburn comes along - I doubt Hecky would jump ship

    In many ways I think we have a manager in Hecky that thinks about the long term.

    Famous last words eh? he'll be managing Leeds next week!
