Has signed for Stevenage from Forest Green Rovers. When he first broke into our first team at 16, he was thought of as the next big thing. Sadly, so far, that hasn't been the case. https://www.stevenagefc.com/news/20...nglish-football-league-tuesday-2nd-july-2019/
24, bloody hell he seems to have been around for years that lad, didn't realise he was still a relatively young un
Seems like only yesterday we all thought he was going to Man U one summer. What might have been .......
Just like Reuben Noble-Lazarus he had a lot of pressure put on to him at a young age and again like RNL he couldn’t cope with it and stay fit, so not really a surprise he’s constantly on the move in League 2. RNL on the other hand finds himself without a club after being let go by Chorley. Quite sad really as both had so much promise.
Always said - at that time - he was the second best young player I have seen come through the ranks at Oakwell. David Hirst being the best. But since that time we’ve seen Stones. Digby seemed to have suffered injuries that he never fully recovered from.
Never really got the Digby hype. He could pick a pass given time on the ball but so can a lot of non-league players. You don’t get that time in professional football & ultimately he’s got little pace & acceleration & can’t get around the pitch or react quickly. Was pleasantly surprised to see him play quite a lot for Forest Green last season as I like to see our ex-youngsters do well so a bit surprised he’s left them.
