    Still only 38. He could have done a job for us even now. Not many players have pulled on the red shirt and excited the crowd as much as he did, even if it was for just a short time.

    Shame if this is true though.

    No one said he's guilty. Folk are saying your opinion that people need to be celibate to avoid a sexual assault charge is odd.

    Can we at least agree that if it is true he deserves any punishment he gets.
    And does not guilty mean he didn’t do it? I don’t think we thought that regarding Joey Barton.

    So far I've only read the BBC report that is the link from the opening post. It only gives the basic info, no details at all, which is only to be expected at this stage. I'm baffled as to how you get from there to "omg the worlds gone mad".

    in what way ,if he guilty hope he gets 10 years ,if not hope she gets 10 years for wasting police time, but if he never had sex he would never have to worry

    Ok, it must be me then. I've been thinking for a while that a break from the internet would be beneficial. Now seems as good a time as any. I'm clearly so far off the map that I'm in danger of never finding my way back.
