In 2017 PMG and Chien Lee took over the English Barnsley FC, with which they immediately promoted to the 'Championship' is Dominic Cummings doing their press releases. I thought they immediately relegated us to the 3rd division
I must admit I didn't remember it that way, so had to check it again. Going into the last 5 minutes, we were losing 4-1 at Derby. Bolton were losing 2-1 at home to Forest and Burton were 1-1 away to Preston. So the table looked like: 21. Burton: 42 points, GD -44 22. Barnsley: 41 points, GD -24 23. Bolton: 40 points, GD -37 Relegated, Barnsley, Bolton and Sunderland. After 87 Minutes, Bolton equalised. Same positions. After 88 Minutes, Bolton go in front hence leapfrogging Barnsley and Burton in the table. Relegated: Burton, Barnsley and Sunderland. In injury time Burton concede to lose 2-1. Barnsley gain a position to 22nd but are still relegated. Therefore we were never 5 minutes away from safety at all. As soon as we were losing at Derby we were effectively down.
Well if they can afford to buy another club then nobody should feel bad about asking for a refund on our season passes. How about they own just the one club and concentrate on making that club as good as it can be.
Chien's tweeted! Chien Lee (@NewCityChienLee) Tweeted: We just completed the acquisition of KV Oostende FC, the Belgian first division team and it’s our 4th Investment in European soccer. https://t.co/tOIDUyFcJj Grrrr " soccer"!
Boll0x to it, I couldn't care any more. That's what these people have done to me. No interest whatsoever, it's gone.
Can’t have cost a lot. Guy who co-owns Crystal Palace has £5 million turned down for 100% of club. These like the other deals haven’t bought all of it.
I'm cynical in the main regarding the owners. However, if they were asset strippers they wouldn't keep buying clubs. I think they are building a portfolio and want to try try and make a good'un out of four ****'uns. I think their best bets are Oostende and F.C Thun and eventually they will sell us to the highest bidder.
These fookers don't give a flying fig about Barnsley. No more contributions to their business plan. #refund?yesthankyou
Or maybe they are thinking of also buying a bigger club and having four smaller nursery clubs to try and buy young talent and feed them to the big'un when they are ready to step up.
