I know there are a few users on here. I'm getting various timeouts downloading the channel list when using the Smart IPTV app to access OTTV on this URL: http://mlsh1.com:2086/get.php?username=USERNAME&password=PWD&type=m3u_plus&output=mpegts Has anything changed or is the fact that everyone is sat at home with nowt to do impacting the service?
I think it's since they put ALL the episodes of each series into the genre sections so you end up with 10,000 listings in the comedy section... It does eventually come on if you leave it. Alternative is to download the playlist and delete all the stuff you don't want using notepad and upload manually through the siptv site.
Ah right. Makes sense. It has got a bit crazy with all the content on there. Its timing out on SmartIPTV though.
On my 5 year old Samsung with smart iptv it comes up with the timeout but doesn't on the firestick. Maybe the older Samsung's just can't handle the listings? It does eventually come up though.
Mine's on a fairly new LG and get the timeout and then it doesnt complete (mostly). Might stick cut down playlist on a webserver to pull instead.
Just read this on the SIPTV site: TVs have limited memory available for app storage, so if your playlist is too big (~5 Mb), it will fail to save in TV's memory.
I saw a post on the Discord OTTTV forum the other day that says the Smart IPTV app struggles with the new setup. I use it sometimes on a Samsung TV but do have a firestick as well. Was going to buy another stick for my other Samsung TV as they were down to £20, I can use their app then which should work fine
Install Discord app on your phone from either playstore or apple store and create yourself a user account. DM me your username and I'll send you an invite. It's good cause it tells you what's working, what's not etc etc Edit: I'll DM you a link
Get thissen some cat 5 laid in. Our WiFi can’t cope with more than a couple streaming but the main tv is hard wired straight to the router and never misses a beat.
Yeah I've got that and 1gb fibre to the house (UFO) but it looks like its an known issue with memory on TVs when downloading crazy large playlists.
