Strikes me as a Jonno type with some fancy Powerpoint slides, useful in an interview, sod all worth in a match.
Did more than ok in Scotland and initially at Norwich. Better manager than player I reckon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd say that's a decent appointment. If anything it's a step up from Grayson . Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
Got Norwich up into the Prem against all the odds. Don't think his players were with him last season that's why they struggled plus the fans seemed to be calling for his head most weeks. First time I'd seen a Reds side beat them last term which was a pleasant bonus. Expectations won't be as great at North End so without that added pressure he might do well.!
Certainly not an odd appointment. He's done really well in both jobs so far. Its never easy turning a team round on the back of a relegation and even with that they still had a decent season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wager £50 to your chosen charity, whichever that may be, that PNE do not get relegated next season.
Well that seems a bit mean given that he has 2 promotions to his name. Who, if you were on the PNE board, would you have picked instead? This seems an interesting question to answer, in that it relates to a club of similar capacity and pretensions to us, and if Hecky accepts the security-for-life contract from elsewhere. Who would you have in charge if Hecky wasn't here? Alex Neil - previous player, promotions on his c.v. would not be good enough for us? OK then - pick someone else.
"We were nearly as sh*te today as I used to be here" is what he told me after the presser last season having beaten Norwich. Came across as a really sound bloke.
It all went pear shaped at Norwich but if you hear him talk he's so passionate and knowledgeable. He's just a rock hard jock , I think he'll do well there .
