I don't get this mentality me, he was our top goal scorer last season in our system even when he missed months of the season due to the head injury. Just because he's moved to a new team and not scored doesn't mean A. He isn't a good striker still and B. He would'nt have scored in our system.
From the reviews I’ve read about his Wigan games, he’s worked hard but is still adapting. Maybe could have scored a couple, but I don’t think he’s ultimately been unlucky on the goal front. He does work hard and wins lots of balls, but unless his strike partner is scoring for fun, he needs to start to chip-in with the goals. What’s he gone? 14 games without? For me, after the injury he had, It was always questionable whether he’d regain his form again. We’ll see what happens..... but currently Schmidt has the same number of goals for far less minutes
I think to some, if any player leaves us they are immediately rubbish. Moore was top goalscorer and held up the ball better than anyone in recent times, he offered something else. When Bradshaw left, a few on here were calling him rubbish etc etc. I personally thought his work rate etc was perfect for the way we played. However Bradshaw was properly replaced.....Moore has not. Its only going to take an injury to Woody for us to be decimated in our striker options. Poor management, poor recruitment.
