One of the problems with VAR

    Linesmen are avoiding making decisions and referees are awarding goals that they otherwise wouldn't because they know that they can just stop the game and check afterwards.

    VAR in my opinion shouldn't be used in this way.

    The referee and linesmen should do their extremely well payed job and VAR should only get involved if those watching the monitors believes a clear and obvious error has been made by the referee. It shouldn't be the referee asking if he's made an obvious error because if he thinks he has why has he given the goal in the first place?
