Isn't this written into certain managers/coaches contracts though? I know Holloway had it at Blackpool and I'm pretty sure Hill has it at Dale. They find players, develop them, the club sells them at a profit and the manager /coach gets a percentage. Like performance related bonus.
I think one of our former managers did. I thought it was Lee Johnson but it could have been Keith Hill thinking about it. I suppose the sale of a player could cause a conflict of interests, particularly if it's benefitting the manager more than it is the club. It's a strange thing to agree to in a contract, but I suppose in some circumstances it may be the only way to get a certain manager to sign for a club. Sent from my phone using my hands
