    Right - where the linesman has raised his flag before the attacker has put the ball in the net how can VAR overturn - surely you could say that the defenders stopped

    Raising a flag doesn’t stop the game. The refs whistle only does that.

    He didn’t blow - play on. Basic rule.

    They've been telling managers and players long before the season started to ignore the flags and play to the whistle

    Reason being referees are encouraged to blow after the attack has finished regarding off sides.

    I`m no Man Utd fan but I still think if the flag goes up the defenders/goalie pull up.
