    Benson getting frozen out so you might think he is on his way in January. Trouble is there is so much competition all over the pitch that some good players are not going to get near the starting eleven for most of the season. Good to have so many options.

    If Styles is fit, he surely has to be starting every match. Would've started O'Keef as well.

    I can understand the unchanged side but thought O’Keefe did enough in his cameo to get the nod before Cotter

    It’s up to Collins to pick the team but it has to be said, the bench is looking much stronger than in august, Benson, De Gevigney and Marsh among others not making it; and people like Connell, McCarthy, Wolfe and Cundy still not fully (or in some cases anywhere near) fit.

    O’Keefe may come in for Cotter at some point but it does look a better 11 with McCart and Williams flanking Lopata at the back, not that Shepherd let anyone down. Get Connell fit, and in for either of Russell or Kane, and we’d have more legs in the midfield as well.

    Things are looking better.

    Why? We've won 4 games in a row without conceding. He hasn't really done anything of note during his appearances, so why does he deserve to start? I can understand O'keeffe because his cameos have been excellent, and in my opinion is a better defender than Cotter, so against a very good side like Portsmouth I think it's a big shout by Collins - but that's why he gets paid and I don't, Collins definitely deserves our trust right now so fingers crossed it's the right choice.

    I don't understand the clamour for Styles though. He needs to work hard like everyone else to get his spot back.

    Russell and kane can do a job for us. But honestly I think we need to find his best position and build our team around it. He'll get on at some point tonight, I'm sure, so we'll see.

    I think he will too, bud. I just don't think he deserves to walk straight into the starting 11. When he did make his appearances for us, had he run the game and played out of his skin then fair enough, but done nothing noteworthy in my opinion to start

    Can’t argue with an unchanged side. Up to the bench players to force their way in. They will definitely get chances to do that.
