Season Ticket Special Offer! - More from the official site... 05-09-2016 11:30 AM
Go on! --- you know it makes sense. The football down the well is the best in decades - so if you want to attend a lot of games, and especially the Villa and Newcastle games coming up soon, you will save a lot of money.
Agreed, the season ticket thing has been done to death now. Also, this offer sounds good at first glance but if they thought about it they'd realise that basically no-one will have bought all 3 tickets so, if people didn't take up the offer when it was just the first 2 matches, I doubt adding the 3rd match would change things.
I know a couple of people who have bought all 3 and have told them to get a season ticket but they never do! They go to 10-15 games a season so probably will end up spending more than if they get a ST
Think the club ought to do a 4 match ticket deal (villa, weds, newcastle and leeds), say 80 quid. That's the only way they will get any one else in the ground apart from season ticket holders at those crazy prices.
Why would they do that they would lose money. The season tickets are good value especially as they are frozen and we are now in championship. I got me n my lad one for 300 quid ( early bird). Why do a deal for villa,Newcastle, leeds and wednesday? For the 'big game supporters' who can't be bothered when it comes to Burton, Brentford and blackburn. No thanks. Also villa have sold out 5500 tickets over 2 weeks before the game and they have travel ect to take into account on a Tuesday night. They obviously don't think 30 quid is too much.
Nothing to do with the 'big game' supporters, simply the exorbitant costs of these games. And who knows how we will be doing when some of these games will be played, might be doing well or slipped away languishing near the bottom (god forbid): wouldn't get any 'big game' supporters in if the latter was the case anyhow.
Well get a season ticket if you can turn up for Wednesday, leeds, newcastle and villa you can be there for Burton Brentford blackburn. The flexi ticket should be just for supporters who cannot make every game not ones who can only be arsed when the big teams rock up. Villa have sold out at 30 quid a ticket on a Tuesday night.

I don't understand your argument? - The "big" games are not "exorbitant" if you have a season ticket. Also the big games are the very games that the "fair weather" supporters do go to.
Deary me. The big games are exorbitant for people who pre-purchase or pay on the day: you know, people like me who work 24/7 so can only attend 5 or 6 home games a season.
You said the club shold do a deal wednesday, leeds, villa and newcastle for 80 quid. Why? You say because the prices of the games are alot well buy a season ticket. Or How about Burton, Brentford, Wigan and blackburn for 80 quid.
Can only attend 5 or 6 a season because of work but you can make villa,Newcastle, Wendy's and leeds hmmmm
Golf club I play at has different categories. Maybe could work at Oakwell. £900 full member -play as many times as you want . £300 associate members. Restricted amounts of rounds . For those who want to dip in and out but can keep topping it up as and when they want to play. £££ much less for junior members but I'm not sue how much . We get a membership card to pay for owt from tackle to beer . Every time we put money on the card we get 10% on top . It encourages you to buy from the club . Could it work ? I don't know . It's just a thought .
Deary deary me. I did not say i would be attending these games at any point. Indeed i do not get my rota until a month in advance, sometimes less so it may well be the case that i cannot attend any of these games. The post was about pricing and nothing else.
Fair enough. The club won't do a ticket for the games you asked for for £80 no chance. Especially when villa have sold out 2 week in advance at £30. I don't have a problem with a flexi ticket but should be only for people who cannot attend a sufficient amount of games. So you could say get 1 game from each category for a set price. The flexi tickets would maybe be hard to introduce but the club could have a look I suppose. For people who can get to enough games I do advice a season ticket as they are good value. Also if you cant make all games share one.
I think the introduction of a flexi ticket would appease a lot of supporters, but the practicalities do make this difficult if it runs over the course of the season.
When I was living in London I conceived the 'Part-timer' - a flexi half season ticket and proposed it to the club. They never replied, of course. But it was an inspired, genius idea and far more viable now, as online booking has become more sophisticated and user friendly. The club were not interested then and won't be now. They have to appease the self righteous, holier-than-thou branch of the ST community. Most just want to see Oakwell rocking, but we all some of these and there would be explosions everywhere if the club were to offer the less committed supporter anywhere near the deal they get front end. I think there will be vouchers, deals or whatever, as the season progresses. But right now the club is still trying to shift season tickets and the 3 match discount is a pretty good offer.
