    It’s amazing how many games are off after a couple of days of frost.
    Whatever happened to the days when players just adjusted their footwear and cracked on ( seventies and all that) !

    And put spikes in instead of studs

    actually didn’t they just play in trainers or with very short studs

    I remember us playing stoke at home whilst it was freezing on boxing day 1996 & a few of our players wore trainers

    They did, I would have thought nowadays they have the choice of astroturf studs too.
    If they call games off after a few days of not particularly bad frost, God knows how they will go on if the weather actually turns bad.
