Club Statement: Norman Rimmington. - More from the official site... 29-12-2016 11:00 AM
Such sad, demoralising news. This has given what had been a fantastic year for Barnsley Football Club a dreadful end. R.I.P. Mr Rimmington. You will always be remembered by all at Oakwell. Sincere condolences to Mr Rimmington's family.
Rest in peace Norman. You will be truly missed by all of us. Your spirit will live on forever at our great club. Your warmth and gentle, kind approach to life and those around you was inspirational. The team talk pre match Saturday will be an easy one for Hecky to deliver as we celebrate your life and you passing through the light. RIP old friend.
I hope the west stand flag is half mast. The players need to look up at this next match to remind them they are "playing for Norm". Legend.
R.I.P Rimmo. The word Legend is used far too openly these days, but you sir were a LEGEND of the highest order. Let's hope Oakwell looks as good up there as it does down here. God bless Rimmo
Heartbroken - man is a legend. Feel he should have received an honor for services to football - hopefully club will look at honoring him in some way.
