CLAUDIO GOMES ON TIGERS CLASH Interviews Our on-loan midfield man spoke ahead of our meeting with Hull City at Oakwell. Continue reading on the official site...
Gomes looks a great prospect. Him & Benson look like a good combination, with Romal Palmer too. We need to return to being hard to beat, with pace down the flanks. We're in a relegation scrap at the moment. 3 points vs Hull & we can look up the table. Gomes will get better & better as he adjusts to this level.
It's just a pity his start with us has been so badly stunted by Schopp's constant meddling. Let's hope he gets a run now and players starting in their proper positions start to find their feet and gain confidence.
Decent player. Can run with the ball and pick a pass. We need a win tomorrow. I reckon there's a different pressure on the players. They have to back it up.
We have had a puzzling start. Schopp was out of his depth. I think it's a bit too early for Laumann to step in as long term coach, but he clearly made the difference. Yes, there was luck. You need to make luck.
It's worth reading Ismael's comments about Hull City's performance against the Baggies in midweek. There is a pretty good chance that they will set up the same way against us, which was 5-4-1, so heavily defensive, but with a counter-attacking threat in the hope of getting a break-away goal. It would be the best game-changer if we could score early in this one, as they would have to change their tactics. Another six-pointer, though. Mallik Wilks returning to Oakwell and he will be one of the break-away threats to us. Baggies found them hard to break down, so I think that we might also. Here's hoping. Oh! And the other thing Ismael mentioned was their constant feigning injury to slow the game down. It's on the BBC website report if you want to check out all the comments. It will be another scrap, for sure.
love the fact that claudio loves the place and the fans. Proper love in. More performances like Wednesday / Tuesday Claudio and it'll be a proper romance.
I wonder if there's any chance of signing this lad? Its very early to be saying he's the real thing but if we wait til he actually does he'd be out of our price bracket. Maybe City rate him highly enough that he already is.
I'm just listening to it now. He comes across as a lovely young man. Very grounded and positive. I hope he has a long and successful run in the side and helps drive us up the table.
Mate, the Albanians will just snatch him, change his name, give him false docs and get him here on a free. the mafia is on our side.
