Very good read and seems a nice genuine guy. Must be difficult having his nearest and dearest over the water and elsewhere.. Then having to live alone in not a strange country. But probably changed a lot. Great to see he has relatives over here to live with. Loneliness being I’m guessing one of the major issues for anyone during the crisis.
    If not already welcomed.
Welcome Taymour. to the wonderful town of Barnsley and its people. And it’s passionate fans. Young Man. Nowhere else like em.

That's a different interpretation of the lockdown rules. I wonder if he means before the lockdown.

He can't do can he because he says that he " we have all been quarantining together" which I take as being present tense.

I despair. I know 2 or 3 that have gone to live with relatives instead of being alone. Self isolating prior to joining up. Whilst I agree there are rules. Read What he has said b4 finding fault. Then make a sound judgement not knee jerk.
Sorry owt to do with The football club. Find fault. Seek and ye shall find .
In any walk of life people bring in those they trust if up to the role offered. Happens all the time managers bring in their own coaches. Upsetting a lot of folk. But it’s never been unusual.

I meant did he go before the lockdown? My parents were isolating a couple of weeks before the lockdown.

Possibly but I thought you still had to go back to your home otherwise people would have been heading off to holiday cottages Monday evening when it was clear what was going to happen that night

Then the two or three you know are idiots. Last time I checked coronavirus doesn't know the difference between relations and strangers.

Seriously have a look at thissen. If you want to have a go fair enough . They’ve all been isolating. Prior to joining up. If you really want to have a go have a go at the morons going out in groups or ASOS. Latest reports if true 3 ambulances turned up yesterday according to The GMB. Someone pointed out on here the downfalls of complete isolation re Mental health etc. I go out nearly everyday. Returning home to my wife ( I too suffer with mental health issues. But thank god im not on my own.) . Going out alone shopping. My ppe is not 100%. For the role I do. But I try to achieve as best I can. protection from this awful disease. The people who I talk about live on their own and the only contact they had. From the outside world was phone calls and Deliveries. I will not criticise them for pairing up and still isolating. Pretty sure I could find cracks in anyone’s armour if I looked hard enough. ( yours included. ) When we see the nurses coming out to thank other folk for there kind gestures are they observing distancing rules. Are they self distancing on the wards. Impossible I would say. Going down with the virus. Most people are not deliberately putting others in harms way. Vent your spleen where it would be more productive.

I mean you are welcome to look through the cracks to see how much I've been isolating but you'll find I haven't come into contact with a human since the 25th? Of march. I have spoken to my neighbour from my front for to is once but other than that I haven't seen or met anyone. I haven't been shopping once.

Oh and if you lol you'll find I've criticised ASOS something rotten

How many club secretaries have you been aware of in the past? The only one I remember is Michael Spinks, but then I'm not even sure if that was his title? Or if his first name Michael?

My point being, we never announce those kind of appointments so it's hardly 'on the quiet'. And your growing number is from one to two, but if he's the best person for the job then surely that's great for us? CEO's bring in tons of people when they switch roles because in their minds they're capable of doing the job and they trust them. Hardly feels like 'jobs for the boyos' when he's moved out here and left family and friends.

I love that we're getting some insight in to those at the club who don't normally get any limelight. Just like the video on International Woman's Day. Why don't we focus on that rather than trying to find a negative?

I just find it surprising that in a world of 7.7billion people the best possible club secretary happened to be danes mate from America and the best possible academy COO just happened to be danes wife.

You find it surprising that a CEO brings in a couple of his own people? Ok.

Well not really surprising as such when a jobs for the boys attitude is applied no. Disappointing in a way yes.

I wonder what happened to Sharon anyway

By the way I have absolutely nothing against Taymour and wish him all the luck in the world. I'm just extremely sceptical of the way we seem to approach recruitment both on and off the pitch lately

    Yes Michael Spinhs is right.

Assumed you already had. doesn’t stop you having another rant. This is about your obsession with having a go at an individual who by the sounds of it followed the guidelines as they were introduced. Also at people who have also followed the guidelines but also had other reasons besides loneliness. Glad to see you are perfection personified. Not everyone can be through choice alone. Good to see you stocked up on all your necessities. Till it’s over. Another panic buyer by any chance. Is it just owt to to with owt that comes out of the club. Or does it come natural. Glad I don’t live in your shoes.
