Start off int Silkstone (Weatherspoons) for a few cheapos. John Smiths £1.40 a pint, Haven't been in Tarn on Friday for ages so not too sure where to advise after that.

Avoid war torn Wellington Street. In fact take the advice of going elsewhere!

New bar opened above the Grill Pit on Shambles Street last week - Jock's Cavern. Went in late on and was decent, pretty good choice of beers and 'proper' music

We had a works doo other week in wakey on a Friday night , place was dead compared to what it used to be years ago . Leeds is a livelier place and more bars to choose from

Every time I've been out in Wakefield it has been totally dead. Even on the famous Westgate Run. Quite possibly the worst place I've ever been on a night out.

It's a quality night out if you know where you're going. I prefer Leeds in terms of local nights out, but it's more expensive. That's where I'm heading tonight, with celeb friends (so less expensive and less queuing).

To be fair, I prefer a chat in a corner, but Wakefield has always just been dead pubs with nowt but letchy old blokes.

Get you with your celeb friends though ........

Treachery of the highest order !
Start the night in the salubrious surroundings of Dollys up the arcade to the number 7 then through the back door into browns followed by Draycotts, down the alley to wine bar for some mad dog 20/20 off to Kingsleys then quasimodos maybe a little snack at this point . Head up Wellington Street finish at silvers then double back to Wispers and if you can't get in Wispers there's always visions . Enjoy you night !
