A few poor souls will be a bit lighter in the wallet after todays game. Parking fines were issued to the cars parked illegally at the entrance to the TPT and on the pavement up Oakwell Lane.

I wonder who the idiot was who sent the Middlesbrough Coaches up Oakwell Lane. Cars were driving up on to the pavement to get down as the coaches were blocking the road.

I should imagine they came on Grove Street. I suppose it depends on if the were going back via the A1 or M1. Oakwell Lane is definitely a no no.

I would have expected grove Street but the buses were parked behind the east stand and the natural exit from there is beaver court which home fans aren't allowed to use.

A few seasons ago, I ended up in my car, in the middle of the escorted convoy of Leeds Supporters Coaches. The Police guided them out to Cundy Cross, then Stairfoot roundabout, Worsborough and then on up to Birdwell. When we got to the Junction with the A 61 at Worsborough, a Policeman ordered me to turn right back towards town.
So basically, there was a line of 40 coaches, all of which wanted to go North, being ordered South, and me, my only crime being caught in a line of traffic, being ordered to head back North, when I wanted to go to Sheffield.

Can't ever remember seeing alcoholic drinks on Oakwell Lane, but today it was littered with them on the walls and pavements. Cans of Strongbow mainly. Think we can put it down to Boro fans.

After the game some Boro fans chanting how **** Barnsley are were walking with pint glasses in their hands pissed up through the gate down by the food truck, back from wherever they had been back in to the car park. I presume they maybe came on a coach down without a ticket and got pissed in a pub somewhere.
