Oakwell Holdings Limited v BFC Investment Company Limited - update

Based on information from the subscriber service which I mentioned in my previous posts on this subject, I believe that the Claim Form has now been served. BFC lnvestment Company Limited has appointed the law firm DLA Piper to act on its behalf.

The Claim Form was issued on 12 August. The Claimant usually has 4 months to serve, so in that sense this development is unsurprising. If anything, it’s notable that the Claim Form was not served sooner. I suspect that this is because the parties are negotiating.

DLA Piper aren't without scandal. We are lucky that so far it looks like ownership issues haven't affected the team. We've kept it together, strengthened, got in a new head coach and are doing well. Long may it continue.
