Selby, Robertson, Trump, Allen only have to hold cue without dropping it to beat him now.

He ought to pack in before he becomes a joke like Davis and White.

I don't want him winning tournaments just because a Donkey like Hawkins, Bingham or Perry has fluked a win against Trump, Selby or Robertson.

Ronnie was very comfortable winning the World Championship. Trump has now got the maturity and all round game to dominate now, 47 centuries already this year.

Are we talking about the bloke who won the world championship 4 months ago?

My sporting hero Helen but I think he's finished. He's missing some easy balls. I remember when after a long red you could watch a break without clenching your shoulders. I'm sure you can too. Even when he's in the balls he fecks up.

He has been prone to these poor spells but the worlds were only a few months ago. Certainly wouldn't write him off yet. And even though Steve Davis kept playing I've never really ever thought of him as poor . And Jimny White just loves to play. Interesting that Hendry played in the veterans at the Crucible. Even though he said he saw no point when he wasnt winning, he's missing something of the sport.

He'll have a really bad few months occasionally, but you know that one day he could still turn it on and blitz everyone. I think that sometimes he turns up to a tournament and simply can't be bothered, or just doesn't find himself in the mood. That's a pretty terrifying demonstration of his sheer talent - it would be absolutely crippling for pretty much anybody else who competes professionally in anything.

Steve Davis definitely isn't a joke - he loves the game, and maybe just enjoys being on the table and/or meeting new players. I think everybody knows that he's not gone out with the expectation of winning tournaments for ages now. But Ronnie won't do the same, in my opinion. I reckon he'll get out of snooker as soon as he thinks he can't compete with the best. My best prediction is that at some point he'll do badly in two or three consecutive tournaments, pull himself together and win one spectacularly, and then just announce his retirement.

Can he beat Trump, Robertson, Allen or Selby? I don't think he can anymore. N' once Kyren Wilson grows a pair he'll be better too. He's going to have to win Malta open or sumat ****.

A bit disappointed one of my sporting heroes has lost it to be honest.

He only puts the effort into the biggest tournament now, has done for years. Plus it's so easy for professional players to beat each other over the best of 9 or 11 frames. Over the longer format the better players quality will shine through

He's just literally won the World Championship recently - so yes he can. Why does he have to "win the Malta open or summat"? Does he have to prove a point or win a tournament to keep his playing registration? NO!

He was in a major final 2 weeks ago. Was it the UK open? He lost in the final to Mark Selby but almost recorded another 147 on the way to doing it.

Ronnie's only problem is Ronnie. If he can be bothered, he'll beat whoever without breaking sweat. If he's ever so slightly in the wrong frame of mind, he gets distracted by the tiniest inconvenience and loses focus.

He's still the best player on the circuit by a country mile, and if he's having a bad tournament, just wait until the next one.

He's well into his crime writing and cycling now too.

Sullivan has admitted he has stopped practising and that it has an impact on his game, but he has done it to enjoy the game.
Don’t forget for the last few tournaments they have also been living in a bubble at MK, something he openly does not enjoy, he’s on record of saying the one thing he hates about the worlds is being away from home for so long.
I suspect it is just typical Ronnie going through a phase, once out of it he will be back to competing.
Hopefully being outclassed by Trump yesterday, will spark him.
