Humberside police have confirmed that the body recovered from the Humber Estuary
is unfortunately that of Libby Squire the missing Hull University student.
What an absolute tragedy. Can't begin to think how her parents and close family are
feeling tonight. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. RIP Libby.

Sadly Humberside Police are now saying that it appears that Libby has been murdered.
Witnesses have said they saw her sitting on a bench near to where she lived.
Some heard a series of piercing screams and saw a female getting into a car before
it was driven away. How awful that not satisfied with abducting her, someone yet to
be identified, has probably killed her and then dumped her body in the Humber.
Her family must be absolutely devastated at this latest development.

Let’s hope they soon catch the freak that’s done this and throw away the key.
Whatever’s going on in our lives that seems problematic nothing compares to what this poor girls family and friends are going through at this time and for the immediate family a lifetime ,

Must be really traumatic for anyone who loses their son/ daughter especially if they
go missing for any length of time. Watched a documentary the other night on the disappearance of
York University chef Claudia Lawrence ten years ago. Nothing has been seen or heard
of her since. I felt her Mothers pain in not knowing what has happened to her and also thought of her poor Dad
who has never given up hope of ever finding her. It was gut wrenching to hear her friends talking about her
and it must have been a painful memory for one of her closest friends in particular who's husband had been hauled
in by Police for questioning only to later be released without charge. Her disappearance has affected so many
in the York community where Claudia lived.

Absolutely dreadful news, hopefully this news will give the family some sort of closure. Went to uni in Hull and went to Welly plenty of times so horrible to think that’s happened there. Hope the ******* that did this never sees freedom again.
