Seen the registered candidates for the election in Wentworth & Dearne. Healey standing again for Labour as expected - not quite local, but born in Wakefield. Barley for tories - stood before as a councillor in Cambridgeshire - google suggests she is director of a dormant company addressed in Worksop. Dr Lucy Brown from Wakefield - a writer... Yorkshire Party Janice Middleton - local - Lib Dem Bettney - locally born, ex-army & businessman in Middle East - SDP - brexiteer Cavell - Brexit Party - can’t find much about him, but only Stephen Paul Cavell I can google is a director with Graphite Capital, an investment banking firm with interests in privatised aspects of healthcare (man of the people?)
See you should live in a marginal, we have Sir Archibald Earl Eaton Stanton of the Monster Raving looney party standing in our area. What should happen is that we all vote for the Yorkshire Party, they return 20 MPs and hold the balance of power. We might then get new trains and stations, better broadband and roads/hospitals etc like the DUP did. Won't happen though
John Healey has been an MP around the Rotherham area for years. Held his surgeries in Wath for years. Good sort is John
The Yorkshire Party. Tell me out them. I know nothing about them and my preconceived ideas may be wrong. I''m not planning on voting for them, as my decision has been made, but I should know what they stand for. (I am about to Google them now)
I have moved and thought I was in Barnsley Easy. But no! I live in BMBC with a Rotherham Postcode and a Wentworth and Dearne MP. ****** to John Healey. He has a bigger majority than Stepahanie Peathinh. Don't vote Brexit. If you want out vote Tory though it may stick in the throat
There's nothing wrong with John Healey. He's always been a good constituency MP. A bit to the right of where I sit but a decent bloke nevertheless.
Luxury. We lived in a oyl int middle ot rooered. And we were the lucky ones. Try tellin’t yung uns thull not beleerve thi.
Spent a long time explaining to the ladies who work with me that they should vote for whichever Candidate they found to be most represented their ideals and they trusted - they just ignored/didn’t understand this and simply kept referring to Jeremy/Nigel/Boris.
