I dont think he has. The Nigerian press have reported it as 'being sacked' but if you read what Hourihane has actually said, we are looking to move him on before the window - which is very different to being sacked.
I think the writing was on the wall when that clip of him on his mobile for his previous club. He tried to explain it away but I think it sums him up a rotten apple that Hourihane doesn't want in our barrel.
Apparently sacked by Huesca for similar instance of returning back late. He tried to sue them but the Spanish union backed the club.
He got subbed off in a relegation battle game and was pictured on the bench on his phone. His team lost the game and was relegated.
If he’s been subbed off what can he do to change that though? I get the optics aren’t great but it’s not like they got relegated because he was on his phone.
I’m not going to pass judgement without seeing it. If it’s just a picture it could easily have been a 2 second glance or an important message. There’s plenty of messages that i think would be more than acceptable
I would've thought players and officials would be banned from using their phones during games because of the risks around spot fixing.
I've not read anywhere that says he is sacked. All I've seen is a comment from.Hourihane saying he is free to leave and find another club before the transfer window closes.
