Just done their annual table predictions for each EFL league. I really like these guys, and they definitely know their stuff. Won't spoil the prediction (they always count it down from 24th to 1st), but the Championship one at least is well worth a listen for a Barnsley fan, and I'm currently really enjoying the League One version as well. https://ntt20.com/
Can you spoil it for me please? I haven't had time to listen yet but interested to know where they've put us. They're massive fans of us in general, and also of Struber, so I'd imagine it's positive.
Put it this way I'm 35mins in, and they've not got to Barnsley's position yet and spoke about a few teams already. closer ^^^
'The second tier podcast' is a good listen too if you're into NTT20. Not quite as good, but very similar in format, and they're quite complimentary of us too.
Really enjoy the NTT20 lads they really know their stuff and back stuff up with data etc and get some really good guests. Defo the best EFL podcast around.
I think guys like this really show up the likes of Sky Sports, who will generally put the B-team on anything that isn't either the Premiership or the likes of Leeds. In general it's very obvious that the big channels don't do their research, and haven't got a clue once the match starts. They might know a couple of "big" players on the pitch, and get a few stats piped through their headphones, but there's nothing else there - unforgivable IMO, considering the researchers that they'll be employing.
This is why I love seeing these lads on Sky Sports doing EFL segments. They have also signed a deal with EFL on quest so they will both be appearing on there a lot more.
This is part of the point I was making in the thread about the cast of soccer Saturday being replaced. I listen to a few football podcasts, and barring Peter Crouch's, the ones I enjoy feature lads and lasses who haven't played the game at a professional level, if at all. Genuine fans are the ones who put the most effort into doing their research, honing their craft, and putting out content that is genuinely interesting to listen to. I find listening to the 'so called experts' painful at times. Especially when you've got the likes of Stan Collymore and Robbie Savage, who try and justify their opinions by saying how many premier league games they've played. My favourite 3 are NTT20, the Second Tier Podcast, and for Premier league and European football, I really like The Football Ramble (although they've altered the format on that recently and it's taken a bit of the comedic value out of it) .
