I went for my tickets today and found the collection process antiquated. Sorry BFC but all a bit amateur. Maybe the system worked better last week?!?!
Needed staffing more and relied on the queue to manage itself. I collected tickets purchased by my father and was asked had I paid for the superior package. Got the impression that if I had said yes this would have been taken on say so. As I say I’m not one for criticising usually just found it all a bit haphazard.
No. You wouldn't have been taken on say so. If you'd lied and said "yes, he upgraded to reserved+", the member of staff would have looked in the reserved+ boxes and not found the membership. Because that's the point of them asking. So they know whether to look among the designated reserved boxes, or the reserved+. It speeds up the process when folk don't bring their old card. Obviously, most folk turn up with the previous season card and thus the pass over is usually about 20 seconds long, if that. If folk have practically no proof, or they're picking up for a friend/relative, it obviously makes the process longer, hence the question "did they upgrade to reserved+?" It will go back to normal after this summer, with the new season loaded straight onto your card.
Not a new card as it has 2019-20 stamped on them? Do like it being loaded on ... too much to cope for some of us
If I recall correctly, folk weren't asked to take their old card. In fact I was surprised that I didn't have to prove who I was.
I really can’t see any issue, I went to collect my ticket yesterday, young girl asked me if I’d upgraded, I said no so she went to the correct box, asked me my address before handing me my box of goodies (nice touch), the whole process took about a minute tops, granted I did take last years season ticket with me I also left it until the initial rush was over,
Well just to redeem myself I did whinge to the bloke at side of me about how the TVs never use to switch on in the concourse
Many reasons including:- 1. To speed it up 2. To provide a positive customer experience 3. Health and Safety 4. To fit the facility
Good point well made, i should have whinged that nobody from the club knocked on my door personally and reminded me the kick off time...
You can also bet good money that if there was someone there ‘managing the queue’, there’d be a post complaining about how we’re British and we don’t need someone to tell us how to queue.
You manage a queue by increasing the number of staff serving, making sure people are queuing in the right place for the right thing and redirecting them elsewhere.
Got mine ok. Although quite a bit of stuff missing from both of my gift boxes. I’ve emailed the club last Friday and await a response. I know they’ll be busy, so might be a few more days to wait for them to reply.
What was meant to be in the gift boxes btw? No idea if I got the right stuff or not. Also nothing in the pack about what you get for the reds reserved thing..
Scarf, pin badge, wrist band, card wallet & lanyard. I had various missing out of both. Only checked it when I got home.
