I'm sure they've got a creative accountant working on it right now.

They have new owners that are throwing the money around. I suppose it’ll not be their fault when it all goes wrong again.

There’s some money about in League One nowadays. Sunderland close to signing Alex Pritchard, and McGeady has signed a new deal there.

Hopefully they'll go bust again soon.

If he doesn’t hit the ground running, with goals the pressure will soon be on him. Not sure he is all that anyway, yes he had a fantastic season with Sunderland, but can’t recall him doing too much on a regular basis prior to that

How come Wigan get these rich owners?there's not much of a fan base and it's not a great location.

    That's what I can't understand.
Maybe their FA Cup win has raised their profile and attracted interest? Not that it's likely to ever be repeated........

31 goals for Sunderland and loads of fans not bothered about him going. Strange!

Maybe a bit of a punt, if they're wealthy enough to call it that. They paid something like £3m for the club, the stadium and a training ground. Compare that with what our owners paid (or at least were supposed to) for the club, with stadium rent to pay on top of that.
