Bloody hell. Such a shame and while I wasn't around when he was playing/managing, I know he's a legend for both Whites and Tykes. RIP.

If true very sad news, posted earlier that his time at Oakwell always felt like one of the lads was in charge, also his was one of my favourite sides.. Sadly while typing it's come up on BBC home page...….RIP Norman thanks for the memories..

Spot on pal. He brought the crowds back to Oakwell as well. We had some huge attendances during Norman's time. For a no nonsense defender his team played some sublime attacking football as well
