Now it starts and to those that thought it wasn't going to happen. ******* Sunak looking to bring in stricter strike laws as if they haven't stiffened em already. General strike could be on the cards imo. And rightly so. CTUN
The vast majority of us will be royally screwed if these schysters get another 5 years. Anyone doing anything other than voting for the party most likely to keep the tories out (barring any Farage parties!) needs to give their heads a wobble.
Hasn't Starmer just intimated nothing will change under Labour? It's political genocide if the Tories say they're not spending owt. However, it's dandy if nowt changes under Labour because at least the Tories aren't in power. "I've just shagged your wife". "It's o.k mate as long as you weren't wearing a blue rosette it doesn't matter. Have a pint on me and the keys to the car". https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-64166870
He's said (Starmer) any laws brought in re striking rights will be repealed straight away. Different theme.
The tories are spending fortunes. Just they're spending it badly. I doubt that Labour will be wanting away with workers' rights and the NHS, which the Tories are.
The sad thing is if the Tory cnts did not make life so intolerable there would be no need for anyone to feel the need to strike.
It's lost me. Labour say they'll repeal Tory legislation on strikes. They'll probably do it countless other things too. However, the main thing I took from Starmer's article this morning is nothing would change. How can we get the changes without public spending?
It won't happen. The South is richer than the North and there's more voters down south. They earn more money down South and won't want to part with it. Half the people spouting reforms still like their large pay packets. Rob the rich to feed the poor as long as it doesn't come out of my pay packet or I don't lose any money. I honestly think being a Labour or Conservative voter means different things depending on where you live in the country. I often think what do the southern voting Conservatives think about the Northern Labour voters. It would be good reading the views from the South of England. As for Truss @orsenkaht. She was ousted because she wanted to spend more money.
You should at least wait until manifestos are published before deciding. But as I said before, public services could improve if public spending goes on improving them, rather than being funnelled into the private sector.
As I've said before. I'm voting Labour regardless. I think there needs to be change. Even if it's only the colour of the the rosette.
Bit cagey on pay demands but making noises about staffing up the NHS to an acceptable level. Also going after those who reside here and claim non dom status.
I'm of a similar mind (though I've always voted Labour). Anyone else must be more competent than these idiots in charge now. Only thing that will change that is if I find out that Lib Dems / Greens are more likely to win here than Labour (have recently moved into a different area), but I think it's very unlikely.
I'll stand corrected but I think I heard a doctor say on gmb this morning that during this crisis they wouldn't have the staff to man em.
